Food-grade acid casein from EU-audited dairy supply chain. High protein content, low lactose, Certificate of Analysis per batch. Delivered to all 27 EU member states via DSV.
Acid casein is the principal protein fraction of bovine milk, precipitated by acidification to the isoelectric point (pH ≈ 4.6). It is an off-white powder with a protein content typically exceeding 88% on a dry basis (N×6.38), making it one of the most concentrated dairy protein raw materials available. FDCM supplies food-grade acid casein from EU stock in quantities from 25 kg, with no framework contracts required.
Acid casein finds broad application across food manufacturing, nutraceuticals, adhesives and technical industries. In food applications it is valued for its water-binding, emulsifying and gelling properties, as well as its slow-digestion profile relevant to protein supplement formulations. Each batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) covering protein, moisture, fat, ash and pH.
As a B2B wholesale supplier operating across all 27 EU member states, FDCM offers fast dispatch via DSV road freight, competitive per-kg pricing for volumes from 25 kg to full container loads, and complete documentation for quality-managed production environments — including allergen declarations and non-GMO statements on request.

From processed cheese to sports nutrition and industrial adhesives — acid casein is a versatile high-protein ingredient across food, technical and nutraceutical sectors.
Primary functional protein in processed cheese production. Provides cohesiveness, meltability and sliceability. Used in analogue cheese formulations as partial or full casein source, controlling fat encapsulation and texture.
Slow-release protein profile (micellar structure intact at neutral pH) makes acid casein suitable for nighttime protein formulations and sustained-release supplement blends. Used in protein powders, RTD shakes and functional food bars.
Improves water retention, crumb structure and protein enrichment in bread, pasta and meat analogues. Used as a protein fortifier in high-protein bakery lines and sports biscuits.
Used in adhesives, paper coatings, and plastic composites where protein-based binding is required. Industrial-grade casein applications (paints, glues, fibre production) historically represent significant global consumption.
Base ingredient for sodium caseinate and calcium caseinate production. Reacted with alkalis to produce soluble caseinate forms used in coffee whiteners, infant formula and protein beverages.
Used in research applications exploring protein digestibility (PDCAAS/DIAAS), bioactive peptide release (casomorphins, ACE-inhibitory peptides) and controlled protein matrix studies in functional food development.
Acid casein produced for human consumption is regulated under Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin. Dairy establishments producing casein are required to hold EU approval numbers.
For labelling purposes, acid casein is not classified as a food additive under Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 — it is a food ingredient. It is, however, a major allergen (milk) under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 and must be declared accordingly in product labelling.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) specific to the production batch, covering protein, moisture, fat, ash, lactose and pH parameters. Additional documentation — Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), allergen declaration, non-GMO statement and country of origin certificate — is available on request at no additional charge.
Halal and Kosher certificates can be provided for eligible batches on request. Please specify documentation requirements at time of order.
